Community Support Services Team Leader

High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a full-time position opening for a Community Support Services (CSS) Team Leader located in Hays. The qualified candidate will focus on providing services to CBS and CSS patients for their psychological, physical and social needs by providing evaluation, psychotherapy and/or counseling. Provides clinical supervision to Recovery Specialists (RS) and other CBS/CSS staff. Works cooperatively with team members to create a therapeutic and supportive environment.

Qualifications include: Masters or doctoral degree with Kansas BSRB license as a:  (1) Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Master Level Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist; or (2) Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker; or (3) Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Mental Health Training track or equivalent mental health experience; or (4) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Demonstrated competence by training and at least two years of Center experience preferable. Meet the specifications outlined in the CMHC licensing standards in regard to any ongoing requirements (as in completion of training requirements according to curriculum approved by the Division of Health Care Policy).

Applicants should possess a valid Kansas driver’s license and a good driving record with no alcohol-related incidents within the last five years. Must also be able to successfully pass an intensive background check including KBI, DCF Child/Adult abuse check and a drug and alcohol screen.
