Taking a Mental Health First Aid class will help to prepare you to be able to help individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis.  Request a training for your organization or attend a public course.
High Plains Mental Health Center has provided Mental Health First Aid training to over 1,200 individuals in Northwest Kansas.  The only cost involved in taking a Mental Health First Aid class is roughly $15 per workbook, which is required for each participant.  The Center’s trainers teach the 8-hour course free of charge for organizations that are willing to host and facilitate the training.  For information on Mental Health First Aid for Adults working with Youth, contact Chris Dinkel.  For information on Mental Health First Aid for Adults, contact Amy Bird. Both can be reached at (800) 432-0333.
